Every year, I see similar pattern of students experiencing sharp drop in their results between Primary 4 and Primary 5 with some students even failing their subjects for the very first time. Without the proper guidance and encouragement, some students lose their self-confidence causing their results to spiral down further at Primary 6.

My name is Yang Iskandar, Principal Tutor of Edufront Learning Centre. Prior to founding Edufront Learning Centre with my wife, I was an MOE teacher and Head of Department (ICT) at Maris Stella High (Primary) School. I specialise in teaching Maths and Science at the P5 and P6 levels.
Throughout my teaching career at MOE and at Edufront Learning Centre, I have helped thousands of students from various ability levels make at least two grades improvement in the PSLE and qualify for the highly sought-after secondary/IP/IB schools.

Based on my over 12 years of experience teaching in MOE schools, being involved in PSLE marking exercises and preparing numerous graduating classes for the PSLE, I can fully appreciate the concerns that you may have in helping your child prepare for PSLE. Many parents feel frustrated that their children are not able to score in the school exams no matter how hard they tried.
The Edufront PSLE Preparatory and Mastery Programme is a Comprehensive and Integrated programme to prepare students for the 2021 PSLE. We believe that a child’s success in the PSLE is dependent on multiple factors – the child, the support from parents, the support from school and the after-school PSLE preparatory programme.
At Edufront Learning Centre, our PSLE Mastery Programme focuses on preparing our students in these 3 areas:
1. Concepts and Content Mastery
In this important year, your child will be supported in his or her efforts to consolidate key concepts and content knowledge so they will be able to recall and apply them effectively under exam conditions. Students will receive teaching and learning resources developed in-house by our Programme Directors which includes compiled exam notes, books, online videos etc.
2. Skills and Techniques Mastery
To score A* or high A in the PSLE, mastering of content alone will not be sufficient. Students must master skills and techniques to overcome the more challenging higher-order questions. Based on years of experience coaching highly successful PSLE students and involvement in the PSLE marking exercises, our Programme Directors have developed proprietary resources and packages to help students master skills and techniques which includes – problem-solving strategies packages, heuristics packages, process skills packages etc.
3. Revision and Reinforcement
Revision, reinforcement and drilling are part and parcel of preparing for the PSLE. We provide high-quality and intensive weekly classroom based tutorial programmes in all subjects (English, Maths, Science and Malay) under one roof. Your child will be coached by our team of caring and qualified tutors, most of whom are NIE-Trained with substantial experience in grooming top performers. In addition to our weekly classes, we offer FREE value-added learning opportunities to all our students through regular online lessons and numerous videos in our YouTube channel. This independent and self-directed teaching and learning approach ensures that learning takes place beyond the weekly face-to-face interaction with the tutors.
For students who needs the hone new skills and ramp up their revision during the school holidays, we offer a wide-range of intensive revision workshops during the March, June and September School Holidays.
We have a small group of 1 to 10 tutor-student ratio to ensure that all students are fully engaged in the lessons.
Majority of our tutors are NIE-trained, current or former MOE teachers or subject specialist tutors.

We offer three P6 Mathematics programmes to cater to students of different learning abilities: P6 Maths Mastery, P6 Maths Booster (for students with less than 60% marks) and P6 Maths Foundation.

The P6 Maths Booster programme is created for students who are enrolled in our regular P6 Maths weekly programme but require additional weekly Maths lessons to reinforce weak concepts and intensify revision for the PSLE. This programme is strongly recommended for students whose average score is less than 60% in P5. For students who are strong in Maths but scoring less than 60% for Malay may opt for Malay booster instead.
