Math, English, Science and PSLE Tuition at Our Tampines Centre
Math is where most Tampines students lose marks they shouldn't. Word problems, model drawing and the multi-step heuristics that decide AL1 versus AL3 are not taught the same way in every classroom. Our math tuition in Tampines is designed to close exactly those gaps.
Our Tampines P6 Maths classes are led by Mr Yang Iskandar, Principal of Edufront and a former MOE Head of Department in Maths and Science. He teaches our proprietary C-P-A-H system (Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract-Heuristics): patience at the Concrete stage so students stop fearing the question, and rigour at the Heuristics stage so they walk into the PSLE Maths paper with a method, not a guess. Learn more about our approach on our Maths tuition page.
For Primary 1 to Primary 5, we build number sense, mental Maths, fractions, ratio, geometry and word problems - the foundation that determines whether PSLE preparation later feels manageable or overwhelming.
PSLE Maths is intensive Primary 6 preparation focused on heuristics, model drawing and the problem sums that separate top scorers. For students scoring 60% or below, our Maths Booster Programme (P3 to P6) adds a second weekly session at 50% off when taken alongside the regular Maths Mastery class - roughly a third of our Tampines Maths students take it.
The MOE English syllabus has shifted, and most tuition centres haven't caught up. Comprehension scoring has become more inferential, Situational Writing demands sharper register awareness, and Oral has moved from rote answers to genuine conversation. Our english tuition in Tampines is built on the current syllabus, not last decade's version of it.
We teach writing through Edufront's 6-Traits of Writing model - ideas, organisation, voice, word choice, sentence fluency and conventions. It gives students a concrete, repeatable writing process they can lean on under exam pressure, rather than hoping inspiration strikes on exam day. See the full method on our English tuition page.
Primary English develops reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, writing, speaking and listening through engaging topics that build genuine interest in the language - the opposite of rote drilling.
PSLE English drills every component of the paper, from Situational Writing to the Stimulus-Based Conversation in Oral. We focus on the inferential comprehension questions and register awareness that most often cost Tampines students their AL1.
Science is the subject where Tampines students most often score below their potential - not from lack of knowledge, but from how they write their answers. A child can understand a concept perfectly and still lose marks because the explanation isn't structured the way the marking scheme expects.
Our science tuition in Tampines uses Edufront's 3-Pronged Strategy to teach scientific reasoning, answer structure and concept application across unfamiliar contexts. More on our Science tuition page.
Science begins at Primary 3 in line with the MOE syllabus, covering diversity, cycles, systems, interactions and energy. We build the habit of structured scientific thinking early.
PSLE Science focuses on the demanding Section B open-ended questions, where the AL band is decided by how clearly a student explains - not just what they know. This is where our answer-structure drilling makes the biggest difference.
Tampines is Edufront's highest-volume PSLE centre. Multiple students from our 2024 cohort scored between AL 4 and 8 - our strongest PSLE results across all six branches that year. Our PSLE tuition in Tampines brings PSLE Maths, English and Science together under one roof, taught as an integrated exam-preparation programme rather than three disconnected classes.
Mock papers with marked feedback every cycle. We run full mock paper cycles throughout the year with individually marked feedback - not just a single prelim near the exam.
Common-trap recognition. We drill the specific question patterns that quietly cost students 2 to 3 AL points - the traps that look simple but are designed to catch rushed answers.
Time-management coaching. Pacing is built into every practice paper, so students learn to finish with time to check, not scramble at the end.
Our Tampines centre specialises in Secondary Malay for Sec 1 to Sec 4/5 students.
We run Secondary Malay in both the G3/Express and G2/NA streams, taught by Cikgu Hayati, with several classes offered in hybrid format (in-centre with simultaneous Live-Online access) for families with demanding schedules.
Our Malay tuition in Tampines runs from K2 right through to Secondary 4/5, delivered in partnership with our sister brand Pusat Bahasa Nusa.
For Primary 3 to Primary 5, our new Malay Karangan Writing Programme focuses specifically on Malay composition - an expansion of our popular Saya Boleh Mengarang workshop that we've run in schools for years. Karangan is taught separately from the regular Malay class.

Common Questions
About our Tampines centre and Mastery programmes
This is the most common question we get. Honest answer: yes, but the earlier the better. Our PSLE Math, English and Science programmes at Tampines are intensive by design — multiple students from our 2024 cohort joined in P5 or early P6 and still achieved scores between AL 4 and 8. We assess each child's actual gaps in the trial class and tell you realistically what's achievable in the remaining time. We don't oversell.
Tampines East MRT (Downtown Line) is the closest — approximately 12 minutes on foot. Tampines MRT (East-West Line and Downtown Line interchange) and Simei MRT are also accessible by bus or short drive.
Our Tampines centre teaches Primary Math, Primary English, Primary Science (P3–P6), PSLE Math, PSLE English, PSLE Science, K2 to P6 Malay, the new Malay Karangan Writing Programme (P1–P5), and Secondary Malay (Sec 1 to Sec 4/5, G3/Express and G2/NA streams). For Secondary Math, English or Science, please consider our Live-Online programme or visit our Choa Chu Kang or Pasir Ris centres.
Mathematics at Tampines is taught by Mr Yang Iskandar, Principal of Edufront. Malay (Primary and Secondary) is taught by Cikgu Hayati, with selected Secondary Malay classes run in hybrid in-centre + Live-Online format. All Edufront tutors are NIE-trained with MOE classroom experience in Singapore primary and secondary schools.

For AY2026: Primary 6 classes commence 4 November 2025, all other levels commence 2 December 2025. A minimum of 2 students is required to start a class.
Maximum 1:12 tutor-to-student ratio. This is non-negotiable across Edufront. At Tampines specifically, most classes run between 6 and 12 students — small enough that Mr Yang and our other tutors know every child's strengths and gaps by name.
